Visa making spending easier

Narrator: Starting in the fall of 2011 Canadians and Americans will be able to abuse their credit cards even easier as Visa introduces their next generation of Smart Phone payment solutions.

Dave Wentker: Doing something like going to a ball game is as simple as taking your phone with you, which you are going to do anyway, and when it comes time to pay, grab the phone and make the payment. Simple, secure, convenient, and back to your seat.

Kevin Scott: I usually  have a wallet that’s very thick and today I actually take all my stuff out of it. I’ve got cards, I’ve got my license, my Visa card here. My wallet, I actually lost it because I’ve  separated it. So this is not very fun. If I just had to carry my iPhone around, and I have to have this for my phone and emails, if I could just have this and not carry all that, then that would make life a little bit easier.

Dave Wentker: The Visa story has always been about helping consumers make the payments they need to make in their daily lives. This is just the latest chapter in that story. We combine the simplicity and security of Visa payments with the convenience of your mobile phone. No more fumbling for cash, just grab our iPhone and pay.

More information on Visa’s Next Generation of Payments Solutions

Visa, a global leader in electronic payments, announces the next generation of payments solutions that will replicate the ease, reliability and security of Visa point-of-sale payments within traditional and digital eCommerce, mobile commerce and burgeoning social networking commerce environments.

New offerings are expected to include a secure cross-channel digital wallet and a range of customized mobile payments services that addresses the specific requirements of geographic markets around the world.

The new digital wallet stores Visa and non-Visa payments accounts within our premier global payments network, VisaNet. Visa is the first to offer a cross-channel digital wallet that can accommodate multiple commerce scenarios, including ecommerce, mobile commerce, micropayments, social networks and person to person payments, with the convenience, security and reliability synonymous with the Visa brand. The digital wallet also features a ‘click to buy’ button that enables customers to conveniently and securely shop by entering their email address or online ID and password, instead of a billing address, account number and expiration date.
