RIBO warns of unlicensed auto insurance firms
The Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO), the self-regulatory body for insurance brokers in the province, is warning consumers of more companies conducting unlicensed business.
RIBO says Discount Auto Insurance Brokers, United Insurance Brokers and Citizen Group are not licensed to do automobile insurance business in Ontario. The firms are using the telephone numbers 1-888-857-6699, 613-701-3097 and 226-799-9521.
These firms have been advertising and distributing flyers stating “Save More than 50% off Auto Insurance.”
