National Training Manager
Location: Flexible
The National Training Manager is responsible for providing on-going training support to our sales team as well as field based delivery of customer training seminars. This associate is also responsible for on-going sales support, sales reporting and acts as “subject matter expert” (SME) for all LGM products. This Manager will also be responsible for other training personnel within LGM.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in automotive sales and business office areas along with a “can do” attitude towards supporting both our internal and external (customer) training needs.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Daily administration and management of sales and marketing training activities
- Proactive approach to training and business development including the evaluation of current processes for improvement
- Development and on-going enhancement to LGM University Sales Training Curriculum
- Liaise with Sales Leadership to ensure completion of LGM University modules
- Certification for all sales associated (product specified)
- Assists with quarterly sales meetings (as required)
- Delivers customer training seminars (F&I Selling, LGM Products, Sales Management Training, Menu Selling, Compliance and Regulation Training, Code of Ethics, etc) throughout all provinces of Canada (travel is required up to 3 weeks per month)
- Oversight of other training department personnel
- Additional duties, tasks and / or projects as required by Management
- Complete and manage monthly service standards
- Collaborate with marketing team and assist with execution of marketing strategies
- Participate in management discussion on strategic direction of training and business development
Minimum Requirements
Education
- College (CAI) or University Bachelor’s Degree
- Extensive automotive industry training program education in finance and insurance, sales and sales management
Skills
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Well organized and able to excel in as fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to quickly develop product knowledge and cascade to sales/marketing staff
- Excellent training and facilitation skills
- Able to create, develop and facilitate training modules for LGM’s client groups
- Auto dealership compliance training including:
Documentation procedures, Audi Process, Policy and Procedures Manuals, Sales Process, Credit Applications, F&I Menus
- Finance and Insurance (F&I) training within automotive and recreation vehicle industries
- Significant exposure to Canada and U.S. business office products and trade practices a requirement
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Bilingual (English and French) an asset
- Automotive sales and sales management training (recreation vehicle experience an asset)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in F&I Sales Training (Canada and U.S. exposure required)
- Minimum 5 years sales and sales management training experience within automotive and/or recreation vehicle industries
- Must have lead a training team for a minimum of 3 years
- Extensive experience in building training curriculums from start to finish
- Familiarization with industry best practices around F&I Menu Selling a must for this role
- Strong knowledge of industry software products including, but not limited to, ADP, Reynolds & Reynolds, DealerTrak, and PBS
- Expertise in building video and online training content using latest available technologies
- Experience with industry CRM tools
- Prior experience working with automotive manufacturers a definite asset
