Cash for your stache

We’re welcoming in Movember by looking for the insurance industry’s best moustaches!

During November each year, ‘Movember’ is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mos”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer.

This year, we want to help you get cash for your ‘stache. You’ve already donated your face to the Movember cause and we want to help support cancer research. If you share a photo of your mustachioed face with ILSTV, we (through our parent company ILScorp) will donate $5: $2.50 to Prostate Cancer Canada  and $2.50 to Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade

Just email your photo, along with your name and your office name to story@ilstv.com so we can give credit when credit is due.

Send your photos to story@ilstv.com from today until December 12, 2011 or check out this link to see your colleague’s facial hair in action.

Not participating in Movember this year but still want to make a difference? We’re highlighting Movember participants in our “Mos in Progress” section and those who’ve dedicated their upper lips for years in our “Legacy ‘Staches” section.

Facial-hair challenged? Get your spouse, coworker or friend’s permission and submit their photo!

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian men. It will afflict approximately 1 in 7 men and is a greater threat for those with a family history of the disease. Prostate cancer will be diagnosed in about 25,500 men this year, not including cases that go undiagnosed.
