ICBC sees drop in claims during 2010 Olympics

Despite preparing for an extra quarter of a million visitors, establishing satellite offices and staffing extra employees, ICBC says that the Olympic traffic concerns were not that serious.
Ash Megalli, 2010 claims services manager at ICBC said that preliminary numbers indicate that there were about 20 percent fewer claims reported during the Olympics than in the same time period in 2009.
Megalli said that the level of cooperation by residents alone was remarkable — from those who live and work downtown, employers that allowed staff to work from home, to all the residents that left their cars at home.
