Fireman’s Fund increases reserves by $301M

Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company will increase its reserves for asbestos and environmental risks on a stand-alone statutory basis by $301 million.
The move follows the completion of its regular independent external asbestos exposure review.
The increase of reserves at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company will have no impact on the financial results of Allianz Group.
