We are all aware that over the next 20 years our office workforce will change dramatically and recognize how vital it will be to attract new talent in the insurance sector. Statistics say that 25% of the P&C industry will be lost to retirement alone by 2017.

So let’s do something about it and keep these statistics from becoming a reality.   

At ILScorp, we know how important it is for insurance education in all aspects (licensing, continuing education, product knowledge and so on). We are encouraging our friends and colleagues in the insurance industry to join us in supporting an exceptional opportunity to take a positive step toward reversing the decline in number of insurance professionals in our workforce and giving back to the industry. 

I am referring to The Canadian Insurance Scholarship Program, established by ILScorp.  Working together with high school teachers and career guidance counsellors across the country, The Program supports high school students interested in pursuing a career in insurance by offering sponsored scholarships which cover the cost of an online Level 1 licensing preparation course and provincial exam fee.

ILScorp is partnering with other industry companies and brokerages, like yours, in showing Canadian students that the insurance industry is a dynamic, exciting and challenging career.

I hope you will join us in this effort by making a donation to the Canadian Insurance Scholarship Program.  These scholarships would be the first of their kind in Canada, and a chance for your company to take initiative in giving back to the schools and community, while strengthening our industry. In the next year, we hope to award 500 scholarships to deserving students. Here is an example of the impact of your donation. $450 – donation will provide scholarship for 1 high school graduate this includes the online preparation licensing course (Level 1) and provincial exam fee.
