We are all familiar with the exclusion on many personal lines and commercial policies dealing with damage caused by birds, rodents, insects and vermin.  OK, birds, rodents and insects we are all terms we are familiar with.  But, what the heck is a vermin?

Webster’s defines Vermin to mean a small objectionable animal that is difficult to control.  I think one of the key words in this definition is SMALL.  Never let a claim for bear damage be denied using this exclusion as the reason for denial.
