We all know that most homeowner’s policies contain an important coverage called Additional Living Expense. Generally, the amount of coverage in this area is 20 percent of the amount of insurance on the Dwelling. This percentage has been the same for years and years—even though the construction climate changed significantly. I have to wonder how long it would take to find, then hire a contractor in your community? I have to wonder if 20% is enough.
